9/20/18 Study guide questions

On our study guide I will be explaining  number 2, you have to reflect over the y-axis. The rule is that you have to multiply the x-coordinate by -1. Your pre image points are A(3,-4) B(1,-6) C(-2,-3) and D(3,1). The y coordinates will stay the same. For A it would be (3•-1= -3,-4). For B it would be (1•-1= -1,-6). For C it would be (-2•-1=2,-3). For D it would be (3•-1= -3,1). Your image points that you graph would be A(-3,-4) B(-1,-6) C(2,-3) and D(-3,1). Last you graph your image points onto the paper because the pre image points are already graphed. Your y-axis goes up and down and the x-axis is left to right. To graph the points for the first number you find the number on the x-axis, on the second number you find it on the y-axis then you find where they meet at and you place your point there. After you have graphed all the points you will have a shape and a reflection over the y-axis.FD1C7BF1-8D1E-4AF6-9D0E-B5BA66815C75
